What is an RDHAP?

The RDHAP – Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice – is a specially trained dental professional who is able to provide specific preventative services such as oral health screenings, dental cleanings, sealants, and temporary fillings in the residence of the persons who are homebound, have limited mobility, or to those who live in remote areas with limited access to dental services. (RDHAPs cannot do permanent fillings or perform surgical procedures.)

If you believe you or someone you know can benefit from the services of an RDHAP, please see our RDHAP Member List to find a provider in your area.
